Born and raised in Louisville, Katie completed her education as a Nurse Practitioner at the University of Rochester in Rochester, NY, and received board certification in 2009.

She has been in practice since that time, serving a variety of populations, most recently with a focus on women in their late reproductive years.

She recognized the need in the community for more attention and availability of care for women going through perimenopausal and menopausal changes, and decided to open Act Two Women’s Wellness.

With additional training through The Menopause Society, Katie brings her passion and expertise to every patient she meets.

She currently maintains licenses in Kentucky and Indiana.

Our Practice

The aim of Act Two Women’s Wellness is to provide comprehensive care for women in their late reproductive years and early menopause journey, typically women in their mid-thirties to late fifties, however, not exclusively so.

Though there are many typical symptoms of perimenopause and menopause, each woman will experience this change through these years differently, and at varying ages. This is why individualized care is at the foundation our practice. There is no one-size-fits-all in women’s health.

Establishing with the practice, each patient will be scheduled for an in-person new patient consultation where they can expect to review with the provider a thorough family history, personal history including existing medical conditions, risk factors, lifestyle considerations, and of course, signs and symptoms of changes relating to their hormonal health. Together the provider and the patient will develop a plan of care that accounts for the goals and desires of the patient herself.

The care plan may include additional lab testing or imaging, treatment with a variety of options including hormonal and non-hormonal medications, supplements, and non-traditional or holistic methods of treatment.

Following the initial consultation, patients will follow up with the provider through either in-person appointments, virtual appointments, or communications through the secure Optimantra portal as frequently as needed based on the individualized care plan. Treatments and recommendations will continue to be adjusted to meet each patient’s needs.
